How Can I Stay Active While Working From Home?

Get Up Every Hour

Penn Medicine suggests a simple exercise while working at home by getting up every hour.  


To make sure that you do this, you can set a timer that will remind you to get up and move for a few minutes every hour.


You can configure your smartwatch or app to ring once every hour.  


Many digital gadgets already prompt you if you haven’t taken a certain number of steps.  


Here are some exercises you can do when you hear the ring to get up:

  • Grab a healthy snack
  • Walk up and down the stairs
  • Do some quick jumping jacks,l sit ups, push-ups, or yoga positions
