Quick Full Body Workouts You Can Do at Home

Quick Full Body Workouts You Can Do at Home

Believe it or not, you can achieve a full-body workout at home in Mississippi without spending a ton of time on your fitness routines. Depending on your goals, there is at-home training equipment out there that will make your workouts more effective and efficient!

Strength Training: Single Station Weightlifting

Working with free weights can take a lot of time, especially when you are trying to work out your entire body. At least, that’s how working with weights at home usually plays out.

However, athome training equipment like the Powertec Workbench Levergym makes setting up for your workout for strength a very straightforward task.

With the Powertec Workbench Levergym home fitness equipment, you can build your strength, or size if that’s your goal, from your shoulders to your legs. Even better is that this piece of exercise equipment can help you work out nearly every part of your body without forcing you to take much more than a few seconds between reps on different muscle groups.

For more strength training exercises that don’t take much time, Fitness Expo in Mississippi also offers a variety of modular free weights that can take basic exercises like lunges or situps and really turn them into an efficient, shredding routine.

If this sounds more up your alley, we recommend visiting one of our locations and discussing your options with one of our in-store fitness specialists.

Cardio: Elliptical Training

Elliptical trainers like the BH Fitness S2XI Elliptical offer you a full-body cardio workout.

Only have a few minutes before you start getting for work but want to get your heart rate up? Have you just put the kids to bed for the night and you want to get a workout in before they inevitably wake up and start asking for this or that?

Whatever your situation or reasons for needing a quick workout for your whole body, an elliptical machine should be high on your list of necessary home fitness equipment.

Elliptical machines, unlike treadmills, do not only target your legs, lungs, and heart but it works your arms and core as well. Furthermore, the fact that ellipticals are by design extremely low impact means that these machines also leave you with much lower risk to your joints and musculoskeletal system than having your feet pound pavement (or tread) over and over again.

Note: Depending on your space or physical requirements, rowers are also an excellent choice for quick cardio workouts that exercise your entire body. Although rowers are arguably a better choice for overall fitness than ellipticals, we also understand that they can require a little more willpower to get on to start your workout at all, which is why our overall recommendation for cardio here is elliptical trainers.

Toning and Agility: Yoga

There is a reason that yoga exploded in popularity in the early 2000s – it is an easy workout that somehow is both incredibly relaxing and surprisingly effective at toning your body.

When it comes to popular workout routines, there simply is not anything that comes remotely close to yoga. Likewise, doing yoga at home doesn’t really require home fitness equipment other than a workout mat (like these Spri Airex Mats) and, if the stretches you are attempting call for it, a foam block or two

That being said, yoga is surprisingly cost-effective, despite the fact that classes or gym memberships can cost more than the spare cash you might have available.

For those who are unsure of where to begin when it comes to doing yoga at home, you don’t have to look far at all for information or instruction, especially since you must be reading this post on a computer, your phone, a tablet, or some other internet-connected device. Your best bet is to just head over to YouTube and search the phrase “beginners yoga” to get started. After a few brief sessions, you’ll find a channel or two that work best for you and your goals without wasting your time.

To give any of the equipment discussed above a try before you buy them, visit one of our Fitness Expo locations in Mississippi or Louisiana. We carry a large variety of home fitness equipment to help you meet any and all of your personal fitness goals.
