Will A Foot Peddler Help You Lose Weight

We all have reasons we are not able to get to the gym, or a home gym isn’t financially feasible or won’t fit into your home. But you know you have a few pounds you need to lose, or you want to increase your stamina. There is always a reason to make yourself healthier, whether it is for your family, children, a new dress or suit, or just because you want to feel better about yourself when you look in the mirror.
If you don’t have the mobility to go to a brick and mortar gym or don’t have the money to bring the equipment into your home, one suggestion is a mini-exercise bike, also called an exercise peddler. This compact piece of equipment can be kept under your desk at work, in your living room, or your closet when you’re not using it. No matter how you look at it, the exercise peddler can help you lose weight and burn calories.
As with any exercise program, you need to make sure you are physically able to do it. You should check with your doctor to make sure your heart is up to the stress of an increased heart rate and there are no underlying medical conditions that can prevent you from exercising.
If you are able to exercise, you need to look at the calories to fat ratio. For one pound of fat, you need to create a deficit of 3500 calories. Do this by either increasing the amount of activity you participate in on a daily basis. Or you can reduce the amount of food you eat or eat healthier. You can track the number of calories you burn while using the foot peddler if the piece of equipment has a tracker on it. Or you can use a wrist device to track it.
Keep the intensity up to burn more calories and fat. If you only go 5.5 miles per hour, it could take you anywhere from 10 hours to over 20 hours to burn just one pound of fat. Increase the intensity, just as you would when using a treadmill. Varying the intensity can help increase your metabolism. The difference between using it at home versus the office is the intensity you will pedal at. If you are pedaling at the office, you can pedal at a slower pace for longer. At home, you can do a higher intensity for a shorter amount of time.
It may not be possible to reach all your exercise goals with just one piece of equipment. You will need to vary your routine, and your intensity often. Also consider using resistance bands, or hand weights to add more variables to work your upper body.
Cut out junk foods, soda, sugars, junk food, and alcohol to give your body an extra boost for losing weight. Protein takes more calories to burn and will leave you feeling full longer after you eat it. And most importantly, don’t forget to eat breakfast.
