Home Gyms: The Vectra VX-38 vs the Precor S3.23

The Vectra VX-38
The Vectra VX-38 is a top of the line home gym. Each station has its own dedicated weight stack which is ideal for multiple users. Also with multiple users in mind, Vectra arranged the weight stacks around the unit so there are no awkward face to face or shoulder to shoulder moments. The Vectra VX-38 comes with a parallelogram Direct-Drive Press Arm to eliminate cable stretch, lifting weights at an exact 1:1 ratio.
The Vectra VX-38 comes with a multi-position padded hold-down system so that the user’s legs stay comfortably in place. Along with an Automatic Ratcheting Cam on the butterfly station, the VX-38 is a leading innovator in technology to ensure comfort and maximum workout for the user.
The Precor 3.23
Unlike the Vectra VX-38, the Precor S3.23 home gym has room for only one bench, making it harder for multiple users to work out, but also makes it more efficient as far as foot print (the VX-38 is 7’5” x 8’7” whereas the Precor S3.23 is 4’5” x 3’2”). The bench is also sold separately, but at half the cost of the VX-38, the consumer should be able to afford a good bench.
The dual independent weight stacks not only help you to work more muscle groups at once, but with a 1:2 ratio, you can lift more weight, but feel like you are lifting half the amount. This home gym is ideal for individual use and as a Precor it will last 5 times longer than home gyms that are half the cost.
